Planning is guessing, but a business without a plan achieves everything in it
Creating business growth depends on planning and strategy. And Business growth is in itself one of the 7 Big Questions about how to build a beautiful business and life. No human endeavour ever amounted to anything without a strategy or a plan. Yet planning is guessing. It can never be anything more than guessing, because we can not know the future. So if planning is guessing, why does it matter so much and how can we do it so it works? The answer to that question is about two things:
- First, you need to understand that there are two significantly different forms of business plans; Internal and external plans.
- And second: You need to understand that planning is a verb. Planning is something you need to do all the time and plans are constantly changing.
The bottom line? Business plans and business strategies that truly work and make a difference are living documents that live on everyone’s desk, are scribbled over and have coffee stains all over them.
